Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I have been charged with penal code 653m, however the intent was not to annoy or harrass my coworker, but to simply resolve an issue at work. But because she never answered the phone, I hung up and never left any messages. She refused to speak with me at work and treated me with disrespect.
My lawyer tells me that there is nothing I can do because I hung up, and that the 1 year probation is the best route to go. Please advise me, can I fight this? I have no record. My court date is August 18th.
Thank you,
Michelle

You need to speak with another attorney in his/her office and go over the particulars. From the bare-bones info you supplied on the net, It does'nt sound like a strong case against you. However you need to have a face to face with a qualified fighting attorney to really get a good idea.
