what should be charged?
if two people broke in your house while you were sleeping and woke you up threatening to tie you up and kill you.they had a knife and they used pepper spray. what would they be charged with in california?

Sorry, there is such a broad range of charge possibilies here, all serious, very serious, that could be charged, can't answer for the DA as they also have broad discretion in charge selection.
