Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I was charged with petty theift over a year ago. I was given court fees to pay and I never payed them. Now I got a letter in the mail saying I was charged with petty theift and must come to an arrayment. I haven't been involved in ANY theft at all since that incident. Is this letter concerning the money I owe?

Its possible that you were diverted and if you had fulfilled the conditions of the diversion program, one of which was to pay the fees you would not be charged. You didn't pay the fees and now they are charging you. You need to speak to a criminal defense lawyer who can sort out the mess.
