Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I am being charged with possession of illegal substance and under the influence of illegal substance (methamphetamines). A friend and I were in my car playing around. An officer drove up to the car and started questioning us, my friend did not have any Identification on him and had just got out of jail 2 days ago for a previous offense, he is on probation. A small bag of methampetamine and a syringe were found. my friend said that it was not his and that it was mine. Both of us were arrested and taken to the police station to get booked. The syringe and illegal drugs were his. I have two previous convictions of possession of illegal substance (meth) which I had expunged I believe it was 2006-07 also had to hire an attorney to avoid deportation and was told that if I ever got in any trouble again that I would be deported. Can my friend admit in court to the judge that the drugs were his. While in coustidy both of us were tested for drugs.(Blood) I am worried that I will be deported My previous convictions were in LA county and this one,was in San Bernadino County What can I do?
