charged with possesssion for sale

Got stoped on traffic violation was told to open the ash tray and there was meth or cocaine,about one to three grams was taken in and charged with (pos with a controld substance); (Pos for sale);(Transporting)????? Trafic stop right turn only. mad left turn. Had someone else in car cops new him told him to get out of car and searched him and then told me to open up ash tray. I was charged with possession for sale nine years ago, and the car I was driving was not mine. any advice?

You might have an improper search and seizure issue which could be pursued by a pretrial motion.

The police would need probable cause to do a warrentless search.

We would have to read the police report to see if there are any other issues.
