Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I am being charged with a vandilism charge because an old friend of mine wants to start problems for me by saying i threw eggs at his home. He said he identified me in a car. But i was not there. The officers came to my door and I did not answer what do i do.

You did the right thing by not answering. Maybe they won't be back. If they do come back, don't speak to them. Don't discuss the incident with anybody except your own lawyer.

Keep hiding behind the couch until you get a chance to speak to your lawyer, and he or she tells you not to speak to the police unless he or she is present.
