Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Charges pressed against me when I called police.
My girlfriend called me at work 3 times because she wanted to talk to me. I told her I couldn't and would have to talk to her later that evening. She started yelling at me and I hung up the phone. She arrived about 5 minutes later at my office extremely upset. She was screaming at me, knocked everything off my desk, threw a bottle of juice across my office and wouldn't leave after I told her numerous times. She started running out to my car, and I had my co worker call the police because she threatened to slash my tires two nights before. I followed her out there as she was pulling some cds and paper work out of my glove box. I tried to grab them from her and she tried to run away. I grabbed her as she started to run, used her own momentum, and brought her to her knees, which caused scrapes on her knees. I would let her get up until she would calm down, which she then threw my cds through a parking lot. I let her up and she got into my car and refused to get out. The police show up and I tell them what happened, my co-worker does, and so does my girlfriend. I'm now being charged with felony domestic violence. I did nothing in anger, only tried to restrain her. What would the possiblilty of this getting thown out be?

You need to retain an attorney to represent you in this matter. The sooner you retain an attorney the better your chances of success. Also do not talk to the police.
