citizens arrest citation
animal control notified my husband that they are sending him a citizens arrest citation from our neighbor because our dog has been on their porch barking at them? How do we respond to this. Really we're uneducated concerning the law. So any help is appreciated.

Call me if you decide to respond through an attorney. They can not initiate a citizen's arrest for barking, I don't believe you purposely caused your dog to trespass on their property. Note however that ultimately these people are your neighbors, and you need to coexist peacefully, I would try to reign in on my dog first.

You need to wait to see what the citation will say. It could be some kind of infraction or summons to a hearing on a restraining order with respect to your dog. At any rate, there should be a court date for you to make an appearance on. You should have an attorney take a look and evaluate the situation for you.
