Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Civil Case I need a prosecutor

I have filed a Civil lawsuit for Battery and the taking of my car and paying off the Debt of the defendant. I have been to court several times and one of the last times I subpoeanaed the defendant and had it delivered by a marshall. The defendant was not compelled to show up in court. Then the court wants me to show cause for subpoeana. I attended the hearing but I did nothing. The judge dismissed the case. So I have a Civil Lawsuit pending. Regarding my car it is garaged very close to where I live. I have seen it on the road 3 different times. It is not currently registered not since he took it 8 years ago. I am trying to locate it and am getting no help from the people that I saw the defendant at when he was in my car. This people have no knowledge of my car or the defendant. I know this is not true. I have contacted both the sheriff and the police and they will not take a report or look for anything! It a real world a prosecutor would prosecute this defendant for 1) Battery and I do have a report. Because he hit me because I would not give him the keys to my car. Where ever my car is do you think these people need to know what is going on? What do I do call the police or get a Civil Lawyer?Sheriff/Criminal Lawyer

If the judge dismissed the case, you don't have a lawsuit that's pending. You have a lawsuit that's over, stick a fork in it. You tried to play amateur lawyer, from your story it is abundantly clear that you didn't know what you were doing, and you committed legal malpractice against yourself. You could call a lawyer and have him or her look at your paperwork, but I am not holding out much hope.
