Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

To Whom It May Concern:

I am currently being accused of 647.6 and the DA has come back with an offer that I would plead to 647.6 and 647A the deal consists of me getting 3 years probation, 3 years sexual offender registration, 3 years ABSOLUTELY NO INTERNET ACCESS outside of school which is ending soon, and 240 hours of community service. My question is that I only talked inappropriately online but never followed through with anything and I never met the girl after the conversation or had further communication. Is this deal a little excessive for what I have done? I currently do have legal counsel but I am truly worried that I am not getting the best deal that can be given so if PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me.

Thank You

Deals struck with the DA's tend to be fact intensive. For me to tell you if you are getting a raw deal would require a full discussion of your case (which should not be done on a public forum).

If you don't have counsel, I would suggest you contact one in your area, or ask the court to appoint one if you can't afford it.
