Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

old convictions

I am searching for 2 misdemeanor drug convictions in Alameda County, CA. One is In and about a place where dangerous drugs were being used and the other is possession of a prescription drug without a prescription. These are leftover from the 1970's. I called Alameda County and they have no record of me. I was on probation for the first offense which involved 10 benzodrene tablets and less than a n ounce of pot. The other was for a joint. Now for the question. Can I get these sealed or do I need to?

Re: old convictions

Yes you need an attorney. No you can not seal the record, unless you were a minor at the time, even yet given the time that has elapsed the better approach is too have your record expunged. Call if you decide to hire an attorney,

Best of luck

You need to contact the Department of Justice in Sacramento to see whether they have any records. If they do not, there is nothing to seal and for all purposes you would have no record. Make sure you check everything carefully though.
