Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

A couple of nights ago I went drinking with friends and my boyfriend. After we dropped off our friends I asked my boyfriend why he was still upset.He did not want to discuss it and decided to get out of my car while it was moving. This happened in a parking lot so I could not have been going more then 5MPH. He left the car and fell on his back. I stopped the car and went after him since he starting running. He told me that his back and head hurt and he did go to the doctors office, but I do not know the result. Initially the he and his family wanted to get a restraining order, but not anymore. What should I do now in case something does happen in the future?

First things first: Do NOT make any statements to the police about this. I don't know if there's going to be any investigation or if this is all over, but if you are contacted, the WORST thing you could do is to make a statement that could hurt you.
