Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Court lost my records
22 yrs ago I was arrested for drugs - I was given Drug Diversion and completed it - never to get in trouble again. In Oct I began the process to have my record expunged, my motion has been filed but it is now hung up because the court cannot find my case file. If they can't find my records - what are my rights regarding this case?

If there is no record perhaps there is no crime :)
I would check with the Department of Justice in Sacramento. For $25 bucks you can get a report relating to your criminal record. If your offense is not there, who is to say you committed a crime . . .
