Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Court Ruling
What does Dism. furth. of Justice mean? This pertains to my ex husband who was charged with a DUI and was on parole for abusing me. Our Divorce is now a mess because he is back in custody.

Re: Court Ruling
It is shorthand for "Dismissed in furtherence of the interests of justice". It means that the state decided to drop one or more charges against the defendant.
