my son is in jail and i want to be put on his case as a joinder so i can get the information on the outside to help him and then be able to testify on his behave

There is no such procedure in criminal law to allow a non-party to "join" in the case. The best help you can be is to hire a good lawyer and follow that lawyer's instructions.
