Criminal History

1) Is there a mechanism in place to help someone ''purge'' their (California) state summary criminal history record as maintained by the California Bureau of Criminal Identification and Information, per records maintained by the Department Of Justice, State of California.

The action in question involves the following:

a)a 1995 DISMISSAL on penal code 11550 (A) H&S-Use/UNDER INFL CONTRLD SUBSTANCE, (reduced to)...

b)a 1995 CONVICTION on penal code 647 (F) PC-DISORDERLY CONDUCT:UNDER INFL DRUG, a MISDEMEANOR, resulting in probation and a work program.

California Penal Code section 1203.4 allows you to expunge and dismiss a case from your record. If you have a previously dismissed case, and you want the arrest record removed, which is more difficult, you need to file a motion to determine factual innocence in the court, to order it removed.
