Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
criminal law
My ex-husband is staying with me. When he moved in, he was on probation for felony violation as a result of meth usage, firearm possession, and some other stuff, and was supposed to report to a probation officer and do drug testing and 300 hours of community service. He gave up trying to contact his parole officer because he said his case was reassigned to another officer more than once, and when he went to see him, he was never in. He never signed up or completed community service. His driver's license is suspended and he owes back taxes and judgments against him from numerous vehicle accients. He is no longer using meth. He will not confront his problems, choosing to stay with me and work around the house or at the neighbors doing odd jobs. I would like my old life back, without all these problems, but do not know what to do. He will go to jail if he is picked up, right? This is no way to live.

Re: criminal law
From his perspective arranging to get his case back to court through his attorney. From your perspective I would suggest that you give him a dead line to move. If there is some risk harm you should consider bypassing the suggestion stage and notify the police when and where he will be when he is away from home. If necessary obtain a restraining removing him from your home and ordering him not to return.
