Re: criminal law

I have no idea if you have a P.D. or a private attorney, but it has been my practice for almost 20 years now, that we always go over the discovery,(police reports, supp. reports, photos, witness statements...etc) with each and every client. I don't know how an attorney can mount a defense without discussung all the evidence against you. David Wallin at www.wallinlaw.com

Re: criminal law

There is a difference between discussing the discovery and giving you copies. Police reports often have addresses, phone numbers etc of victims and witnesses. Disclosing that info to the accused could be a criminal act. That is likely what you are running into here. Your lawyer's refusing to give you copies does not mean that he is not on your side, just that he would prefer not to go to jail.
