Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

is there anyone out there who can help me...i was a witness in a murder trial in sept 2005 and the detectives to the da told me what to say and not what to say telling me they would arrest me if i did not comply..and also the attorney representing the guy on trial was disqulified now dis barred...the guy is now on an appeal and i can't live with myself knowing this innocent will spend the rest of his life in prison behind the corruption of the police and me not being strong enough to bulk their corruptive system...please help wearing my heart in my stomach for 3 years now

If the case is pending on appeal, I would locate the case on courtinfo.ca.gov and write a letter to the Court of Appeal. Probably nothing will happen.

Contact the court and find out the name of the defendant's current or last lawyer. If he was or is in the process of appealing his case in any way, chances are there is some lawyer of record for him. The court where the trial happened should know if there was an appeal or not.

Another option would be to contact the defendant directly and let him figure out what he wants to do with your information.
