It may be possible to take of a misdemeanor warrant from another state. A felony warrant will require a return to the court issuing the warrant. You should consult with an attorney in the county which issued the warrant. The form 1381 is a request by a person that is serving a sentence in custody for the district attorney prosecuting another case to take action prosecute a pending case. Thereby preventing the district attorney from waiting until the defendant has finished the existing sentence and then commence the new case.
