I am not sure what you are asking and how you are considering using what you are calling a writ to combat a past conviction. If you are stating you were wrongly convicted of a crime, then your talking about appealing the decision. If you talking about the judge making a mistake as to allowing into evidence some type of evidence you feel should not have been allowed that is another thing completely. You could also be talking about expunging a prior conviction and either having it removed or lowered from a felony to a misdemeanor. You really need to be more specific so someone can narrow the answer for you.

Good luck.
