Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

criminal threat

my husband is being charges with criminal threat, and i didnt not say i am afraid of him,or that he threaten me in any way,i have even told the arresting officer i am not afraid of him and doesnt want him to go to jail, and i also wrote a staement to the d.a saying that my husband did not threaten me in any way nor am i afraid of him,i am very hard of hearing, and what ever the police was saying to me i was barely hearing, the d.a dropped it down to a misdeameanor crimminal threat, but he did not threaten me in any way,i even bailed him out,so if i was scared of him,why would i do so,i even have proof of how bad my hearing is,my husband does have a past criminal record with a different person which was back in 2001 and it was domestic violence, but has been good every since then ,and completed all his programs,we never had problems with eachother,i need help fast im so scared im sick to my stomach,he has a very good job,and we are living a good life and very happy, until this anyway,so here are my questions.since it was already dropped to a misdeameanor, before a court appearence is it likely to be dropped completly, and what can i do to help this charge go away?,and if convicted how much time?can he be put on working lieu,or braklet?
