Date Rape
My girlfriend was date raped near the end of June 2007. She is an illegal immigrant so she didn't go to the police. Is there any chance to bring the rapist to justice without her getting into legal trouble over her status? Is it too late to do anything?

Most police will overlook a minor violation by the victim of a more serious crime. They do this precisely to encourage people in your girlfriend's situation to report serious crimes that have been committed against them.
There is no guarantee that the police will act this way in your girlfriend's case, but I think the odds are heavily in her favor. And no, it is not too late to report a rape that occuurred in June. The passage of time may make it harder to prosecute the rapist, but that has nothing to do with your girlfriend's immigration status or whether she will get into any trouble.
