Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I dated a girl for only 3 weeks and i found that weren't compatible and i decided to let her go. But she got angry because of that and kept sending me some nasty text messages. two weeks she sent me an email and left me two voice mails saying she's sorry about those nasty messages that she wanted to be with me and she doesn't care to have fun with me because she only want sex , and she missed me, and telling me that she lied about having a college degree. But i never responded to any of her messages. yesterday she start sending me those nasty message again saying that I used her for sex and i played her emotionally. finally i responded by warning her to stop texting me or i will her report to the police for stalking. but i when woke up this morning i received a text from saying dont be surprised if the police come knocking at my door.

my question is what should i do because i saved all her text messages , voice mail and email as evidence because i dont trust her . I dont want her to go to the police and lie about me.

I don't know how old she is or how old you are. But suffice to say, if police want to talk to you about anything where you are suspected of any illegal conduct....WHETHER TRUE OR NOT... Do not speak to law enforcement or text or talk to the girl. Any conversations may be taped. I have done hundreds of pre-filing investigations regarding allegations of sex with a minor cases. If you want to speak further, call me at my office.. Best wishes...David Wallin

Do NOT respond to her anymore. Stay far away from her. Do NOT engage her on any level.

Hire a lawyer. Once your lawyer has all the facts, she may suggest other ways you can document this woman's fatal attraction-like behavior and malicious intent. If needed, the lawyer can speak to the cops on your behalf. Do NOT speak to the cops without a lawyer present, especially if they contact you. Given the tone and content of this woman's previous messages, if she has made a false accusation, it will likely be a false allegation of rape. Do NOT make the mistake of thinking that you can talk your way out of this with honesty. Get a lawyer to speak for you.

Make a few backup copies of all the messages and give one copy to the lawyer for safe keeping. You do not want to inadvertently lose these messages.

Good luck!

Deirdre
