Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

My daughter is pregnant and 17 by a 20 year old whom I love very much and appreciate him being around. He lives with us and I see no problem with their relationship and consent to it. Can he still get in trouble?

Yes he can.....and so can you. A 17 year old cannot legally consent to sexual activity. So, if law enforcement gets involved, her boyfriend should not answer any questions, and you could be charged with contributing to the deliquencey of a minor yourself, so you should not speak to law enforcement. Realistically, these types of arragements occur quite often and no one is ever prosecuted because its not on any legal radar. So I wish you all well .....David Wallin
