Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Defendant not accepted for commitment

I was to report to jail for a 45 day sentence. When I arrived, jail authorities said that I wasn't supposed to be there until a week later. They date stamped a piece of paper for me for proof that I showed up. The next week, I again showed up as ordered and was then told that they didn't have any paperwork on me. I was given a form to take to the judge with two boxes checked off: ''Absence of the required court papers in the jail office'' and the defendant was advised to appear in court. My question is should I ask the judge to at least take some time off of my sentance because I have obeyed the court's order and was turned away two times, thereby, jeopordizing my job?
