Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Deferred Entry Of Judgement

I was granted Deferred Entry 3/11/03 for 11357(b). I

have not received the proper court documents required

by a diversion class counsler to start the program in the

required 3 weeks from court case. The offense

happened in a different county than I live. I hired an

attorney in that county to handle the case who appeared

for me. The Attorney hasn't returned my calls and has

just let the probation officer handle it. I told the

probation officer that I needed a copy of the court doc.

dated and signed by the judge to sign up on 2 different

conversations. All I have received is a unsigned &

undated copy and it is way past the time limit. Please

help!

Re: Deferred Entry Of Judgement

You should contact the court clerk for the judge in your case and explain the situation to him or her. They may be willing to help you. If you are not successful with that approach then have the counselor send a letter to the court stating what is needed.

Also make sure that your porbation officer has your correct mailing address. Notices of probation violation are sent by mail.

write a letter to your attorney explaining what you need and requesting that he provide the required documentation immediately.
