Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
A detective called a year ago regarding theft issues. Didnt rar anything after that. Can you still travel out of state?

Unless you're under court order not to travel or you have some sort of issue with a bond or bail you've posted, there is no reason you can't travel out of the state or country.
You may want to be positive there isn't a warrant for your arrest though. If there is, you could have a problem re-entering the country, even if you're a citizen.
