DISM - FURTH. Of Justice
I was wondering what dism-furth. of Justice means? It was for being under the influence of a controlled substance. Under sentencing it say's not all accounts have been sentenced. Please explain what this means for me. Thank You.

Re: DISM - FURTH. Of Justice
It means that the defendant was charged with multiple crimes and that the prosecutor later decided to drop one or more of the charges "in the furtherence of justice". This term can mean many things, but usually it means that the D.A. either just doesn't want to deal with that charge (as when it is a small part of a larger case but would take an unduly long time to develop and prove) or feels that the defendant does not deserve the type of sentence he would get if found guilty of all the charges. There are many other possible reasons a D.A. might do this, and neither the D.A. nor the docket clerk has to provide many details of the reasons for dismissal.
