i was convicted of domestic violence; felony; and was recently released for probation early. the case was diposed. i would like to join the army, but im worried about the lautenberg act.

You do not provide enough facts upon which I may render a professional opinion based upon YOUR facts.
However, as a matter of general information, you should seek out an attorney to assist you in some type of post-conviction relief. The strategy could be to seek approval of the prosecutor and court to allow withdrawal of the plea and interlineation of a new harge without this ban. You would then plea to that charge.
Or simply, under the same circumstances of amicability described above, seek to modify your sentence.
As I stated above these are general methods that may be used to solve similar type problems of the type you very generally describe in your question.
