Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
What does ''Disposition Code: REJ'' mean?
The original arrest was in Sept 08 but he was released Jan 5th. At that time the Disposition Description read ''OR''. On Jan 12th he was convicted of his crime but he was still free. (Honestly, I don't know if showed up for court or not)
He was arrested again last week but now the Disposition Description reads ''D A REJECTION''. What does that mean exactly?

A DA Reject means the district attorney's office decided, for reasons known only to them, not to file formal charges. The defendant walks.
