Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

i have a divorce case that i the petitioner am with out council. defendant has public defender for 16 counts of contempt. failure to pay support for 3 children. trial set for first part of nov. do i have to file any papers or just show up to prove my case?

Your question is not clear. Which case is going to trial in November, the criminal case or the divorce? (Technically, the proceding in the divorce case would not be a trial, but many lay people use that term loosely.)

If the trial is for the criminal case, then you don't have anything to prove. That is what the prosecutor has to do. She may want you to appear as a witness, in which case you'll have to answer the questions put to you. But you will not have to file any papers or prove anything yourself.

If your question is really about the divorce case, then you posted it in the wrong category. You should re-submit it under family law.
