DNA Testing for a marjiuana case
I was recently in court for 11357 B - posession of marjiana 28.5g or less. that is going for a second trial with a public defender. I havent gotten the chance to talk them yet so i wanted to ask here.
The drug admin offered me a dismissed trial if i did a DNA mouth swab. i wasnt aware of the extent of this so i didnt want to just give out my DNA. is this a dangerous or risk procedure to to give your DNA for a minor case? or do you suggest going ahead with this?
thanks

Tell them to take a hike! Who knows how the genetic info could be used, it could be used to deny you jobs, insurance, or health care. You are only looking at a $250 fine if you lose.

Ridiculous.. Having been convicted of nothing you are asked to join the national DNA database for what reason??? And what DA in the "right" mind would retry a less than an ounce case?
