Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
D.O.M. book
My husband is currently incarcerated and is expected to be released in 1 week. The prison he is in has put him in the hole and filed a 115. This is a false charge made. They are trying to keep him with no evidence, but he will not plea guilty! He is supposed to fight this in front of the prison board now. They won't give him access to the law library so I need to find the information he needs. Please tell me where I can find the D.O.M.Book. Department of Operations manual for California State Prisons. Title 115. This is my only hope. Thank You!

Re: D.O.M. book
I would start with the Dept. of Corrections Web Page, if there is one. And see what you can download. I'd take down their telephone number and call the Dept. and ask where copies of their manual might be located. You didn't say if this is a Federal or State Prison.
I would then go to your County Law Library. I'd start by calling the law library and asking the clerk(s) for some help. It's amazing what they can come up with. They usually really know their library.
I'd next talk to a Law School and ask for some assistance from a couple of law students that are working in the school's legal clinic.
I'd contact the local chapter of the ACLU and any other organization that fights for prisoner's rights to ask for the information you need. You should be able to find this information on the web also.
Lots of luck
