You really need to speak to your lawyer in a confidential meeting about this. Your lawyer will be interested in speaking to your partner about the incident and her current position.

As a general rule, you should keep in mind that complaining witnesses (the accusers) often change their mind in domestic violence cases. For that reason, even though false accusation are not uncommon, the prosecutors are reluctant to believe them if they change their story before trial. Generally speaking, prosecutors assume the original version was the truth and that a recanting witness is lying now to protect her husband.

Also keep in mind that the accuser does not control the case, the government does. So the fact that she now wants to help you does not mean that the government will decide that you are deserving of a break.

Again the best thing you can do for yourself is to consult with your lawyer about this development as soon as possible.
