Re: Domestic Violence

Thank you for your posting.

Every law has a minimum and a maximum, and to truly give you the maximum, additional information would be needed, such as the existence of a prior record, any special circumstances, and whether or not any factors make this case chargeable as a felony.

As a misdemeanor, each charge theoretically would expose the defendant to the maximum, which is a fine of $1,000, plus assessments, and 1 year for each charge in the county jail. If any of the charges are lesser included offenses to the other charges, one year may be the maximum sought.

Our firm has a domestic violence information page at http://expertlawfirm.com/areas/domestic_violence.html

I hope that this information helps, but if you want more information, have further questions, or feel that you need legal representation, please feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. It's my pleasure to assist you in any way that I can.
