domestic violence

8 months ago, i got into a physical fight with my boyfriend. i calledb the cops and they came, he went to jail and i went to the hospital with a bloody nose. the D.A. wants to press charges as a felony on my boyfriend. si i retracted my story. but the d.a. has still picked up the case. what do i do to keep him out of jail?

There is nothing you can do to stop the da from prosecuting this case. In most counties the da continues with the prosecution even if you recant. His best option at this time is to take classes on anger management and domestic violence. You should get involved in a domestic violence victim support group. Unless he receives counseling and changes next time you may have more than a bloody nose.
