Domestic Violence
on 9-7-97, i was the victim of domestic violence my wife against myself. it was documented and witnessed by a neighbor but i never reported it to the authorities.
is it too late to report it now? I was told I have up to 4 years but am not sure
we are divorced and problems with her temper are arising again.

Re: Domestic Violence
The statute of limitations for a misdemeanor is one year, and 3 years for a felony.
However, the fact that the statute has run will not prevent you from using this incident to obtain a domestic violence restraining order.
