Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Drivers License
I got a Dui over 3 years ago in the state of California paid all of my fines and had to move out of state I got the ok from the courts to move out of state but I had to take and send in proof that i completed an alcohol class... I did this but they didn't inform me that I had to take the california class if I moved back to get my license so now I moved back and can't get my license I signed up and took 1 month of the courses willfully but got sick and now ill have to restart Is there any way around this I mean it was ove 3 years ago and maybe even 4 by now and I need to have a valid license without forking over the time and chash for this class when iv already completed one and the courts released me from my obligations to them for the class.. its my understanding that this is a dmv law but they can never give me any answers . Can you please give me some insight or lead me in a direction of action as I dont even have a temporary license of any sorts how do i get one i mean i need to be able to drive places work school etc... i keep getting the run around and your help would be appreciated...
Thanks

Re: Drivers License
You have two options - enroll and finish the class here to get a California license or get a license in another state. Getting a license from another state will probably require removing a hold from the California DMV and getting a special DMV waiver.
