Re: Driving without a license
Unless you can beat the case (always a possibility) this probably means some county jail time. This is because, in addition to the new case, you are facing up to two possible probation violations, it appears.
The extent of your risk depends to a great deal upon the reasons why your license was suspended in the first place. If it was because of a DUI, this could be quite serious indeed as you would be facing mandatory jail time and the prosecutor and the judge who are not going to be too sympathetic or pleased.

Re: Driving without a license
It is illegal to drive a vehicle on a street or highway in California without a valid driver's license. Doing so is a crime. The driver can be cited, arrested, prosecuted and ultimately jailed.
As California DUI / DMV attorneys, we handle following common types of prosecutions related to driving without a license:
Driving Without a License - is charged in two situations. The first is when a person is caught driving in California and the person has never obtained a valid drivers license to begin with. The second is when someone with a valid license from another state or country comes to live in California, but fails then to obtain a California driver's license.
Driving on a Suspended License. - is charged when a person had been issued a driver's license, but is caught driving in California during the time in which his/her license is suspended. This offense carries mandatory jail time.
