Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

drunk & disorderly / battery / resisting arrest

I got drunk and got in a fight with someone I didn't know. The cops arrested me and I stayed the night in jail. My charges were drunk & disorderly, but when I went to my arraignment. I had other charges for an incident a year and a half before where my ex-girlfriend called the cops on me because she thought I was going to kill myself. I was on anti-depresants at the time, and when the cop came on my property and tried to arrest me for saying that I was going to kill myself, my dog jumped on him - didn't hurt him, but they charged me with battery of an officer & resisting arrest.

I've got my life together now. I have a steady a full time job for 10 monthes, now, and I'm enrolled in college. I just don't want to go to jail. I've just finnally gotten my life together. I've looked at the penalties, but is there a chance I won't go to jail?

Re: drunk & disorderly / battery / resisting arrest

It appears that charge from a year and a half ago is an outstanding warrant. Battery and resisting arrest are the more serious of the charges. When is your next court date and at which court? Please contact my office at 310/277-1707 to discuss your legal options.

sincerely,
