Simple possession of ecstacy, charged as an analog of methamphetamine under H&S 11377 and Peoplep v. Silver is punishable as a misdemeanor or a felony. If the case is punished as a felony it carries a maximum of three years. Even so, 300 pills could be charged as possession for sale with enhancements for weight. That is a non-alternative felony with a significantly higher prison sentence. Good luck.
