Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Early Termination of Probation
I was arrested on a possesion for sale charge in January of 1999, I was released on O.R. after a couple days in jail. I was on O.R. for 9 months when I was sentenced in Sept. 99' to a little county time and 3 years probation w/ a suspended sentence. I have now been on probation for 14 months, my first P.O. told after half time on probation w/ all my conditions met, I could get an early termination. Now I have recieved a different P.O. and she told me I need to do two-thirds of my probation before early termination. My probation is out of Butte County, but I am currently on an interstate compact in Utah. Since I have been in Utah, I have had no contact with police and have been doing quite well at my job, working at the same place for 10 months. If somebody could please help me, this is the difference between 4 months and 10 months left on probation, and I would like to move on with my life as soon as possible.
Any help would be very much appreciated, Thank You.
