Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
using someone else's credit card
a friend of mine recently told me that he had used his boss's credit card in excess of $8,000-10,000. He has stopped using it but is worried about what will happen if he gets caught. In the state of California what are the max and min pnishments for this crime?

Re: using someone else's credit card
If he gets caught, it looks like the maximum penalty would be 3 years in state prison. However, if this were to be his first offense, he would most likely to get probation with or without some time in county jail. Maximum of county jail time with probation would be 1 year.
Hope this helps,
