If an employee commits grand theft during working hours on a customers premise - and the stolen item is housed/stored on the employers premises with the employers knowledge - can the employer be charged with a criminal complaint [along with the employee[??

The answer should be obvious:
the employer appears to have participated in the crime [storage with knowledge], so yes, a prosecutor could bring charges against everyone involved.
