Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Escort services
If I were a bookkeeper for an escort service that represents itself as legal and not associated with prostitution...could I be at risk legally? Are escort services legal in California?

Re: Escort services
Escort services can be legal, but many are just fronts for illegal prostitution. Being the bookkeeper for an organization that breaks the law is not inherently illegal, though of course it is possible to break the law while doing such work. You should be OK as long as you don't help the business conceal either the amount or source of its income.
