Only convictions can be expunged. Arrests can't. Your record says only that you were arrested (which is true), not that you were convicted of anything. Theoretically, arrest records are not available to the public.

Records of arrest can be eliminated from your record. However, this is not an easy task as it requires a special motion and a showing that you were factually innocent. If you can prove you were actually innocent of the crime, it could be done.
