Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
evidence part 2
Currently no recording exists of the interview between the deputy 7 my fiance. Deputy's translation from conversation to paper is incorrect, incomplete, and misleading. Right now she has a public defender(worthless) and I'm tryin to get some good info to pass along to maybe help him out. He appears confused or lost at most times and lets the D.A. decide what is and is not going to happen.

Re: evidence part 2
Your girl friend will always have the opportunity to correct the holes in the translation of the interview on the stand at the preliminary hearing or trial. The PD should also file a so-called Pitchess motion to see whether there is evidence that the deputy has history of lying, fabricating evidence etc.
Hope this helps.
