Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I would like to know how expensive it would be to have a lawyer check to see if there are any outstanding warrants against me. I live in California, and I'm a "senior citizen" getting by on only social security income, so cost is a huge factor to me.

If you think there is a warrant pending for you in Butte County, then that means a criminal case was filed. You can check Butte County Superior Court's website online yourself for free to see if there is a pending case, which should tell you if there is a warrant or not. The search page starts here:
