Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

expung record

Current employer is asking to sign a form that will help them see ''all arrest record in CA'' will this show them citizen arrest connected with misdemeanor record? Also, looking for someone to hire to expung this record. Please help with detailed answer. Much appreciated.

Arrest records are a public record, and your employer is covering a potential lawsuit, discrimination, harassment, or slander claim, by obtaining your consent (and that of your fellow employees) first.

An arrest record would include a citizens arrest, yes. You should also know that, although an expungement will clear a criminal conviction, it doesn't automatically clear an arrest record. A motion for factual innocence, which is more involved, is needed to clear an arrest record.
